Eckhart Tolle writes in A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose: “The present moment is always small in the sense that it is always simple, but concealed within it lies the greatest power. Like the atom, it is one of the smallest things yet contains enormous power. Only when you align yourself with the present moment do you have access to that power. Or it may be more true to say that it has access to you and through you to this world.” There comes a time when we have to stop fretting about yesterday and stop worrying about tomorrow – and start living in the NOW, the present moment! Someone once said: “There is nothing you need to do first to be enlightened.” There comes a time at which we must stop doing, striving, and trying and we must learn to start “being.” Imagine that you have within you all the awareness and all that you need to live a life of joy, creativity, success, and love. Imagine that you don’t have to pass any more tests or prove anything to anyone. Imagine that all you need to do is stop and listen and be aware. Be aware of what you’re doing – right now you’re reading these words. As you walk across the room make getting across the room your main purpose. Whatever you do, make it the focal point of your attention and when you do, you will do it extraordinarily well. It’s not what you do; it’s the state of consciousness from which you do it. So today, do everything from the awareness that you are the light of the world. Let your light shine in full splendor – and it will be reflected back to you!
