Divinity in Diversity
Unity North Atlanta is a spiritual community that is open and welcoming of all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, creed, religion, national origin, ethnicity, physical disability or sexual orientation.
Unity teaches that all people are created with sacred worth and that no one exists outside the heart of God.
If you are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered, you have found your spiritual home with us. We offer many programs and opportunities for spiritual and personal growth, life enrichment, as well as a multitude of ways to be of service.
We celebrate our strength and diversity in Oneness, as a loving and supportive spiritual family, through the study and practice of Unity Principles.
Our monthly meetings/events may vary in time/day/location.

New LGBT Spiritual Resource Center
In January, Unity launched a new online resource center specifically designed to support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people and their family and friends. Empowering articles, podcasts, videos and other resources are available at www.unity.org/lgbt.
“We want to reach out to the LGBT community to let them know that we at Unity recognize and honor the inherent worth in all people. We welcome their participation and involvement in our movement and hope they will find spiritual resources of value here,” says Paula Coppel, Unity’s vice president of Communications and Publishing. The following is a short excerpt from the resource center.
Diversity Creates Balance
By Rev. Duke Tufty
“The nature of God’s great creation is one of diversity. Wonderful and mystical variances are found throughout the universe that make for a perfect balance in nature.
“I believe homosexuality is a genetic disposition and a perfectly natural expression for a certain percentage of human beings. Homosexuals, as well as heterosexuals, are the way God created them and every person regardless of race, nationality, sexuality or appearance greatly embellishes the beautiful diversity of this world.
“Every person’s God-given right is to live the life they desire to live, as long as they don’t violate the God-given rights of another to do the same or the laws of the society in which they live.”
