All members of the Board of Trustees are volunteers elected by the Congregation, with the exception of the Spiritual Leader and Executive Director.

The election of Board members takes place during the Annual Business meeting in March of every year.

Personal/home e-mail addresses of Board Members are not listed on this site due to privacy concerns and because of internet based programs that collect e-mail addresses on web sites for targeted distribution of spam.

Profiles of the Unity North Board of Trustees

Don Jones – President

Don has been an active member of Unity North Atlanta for 20 years and has served the ministry at various levels including 3 terms as a member of the board of trustees. Don has participated in many classes, seminars, workshops, small group ministry, choir, usher team and multiple other functions. Don has been involved in the new thought philosophy since 1975 and is well grounded in principle and practice. Don considers Unity North Atlanta to be his spiritual home and has a strong commitment to be involved and to personally contribute to the continuing success of its ministry. Don has spent the past 30 years in telecommunications and is recently retired from AT&T. His career has provided him with experience in sales and marketing, operations, project management and senior management. Don brings with him the ability to problem solve, to communicate effectively and to work with people openly, honestly and respectfully, and is willing to use his skills to support the success of Unity North Atlanta.

Susan Franklin – Secretary

Susan has been a UNA member since December, 2005.  Although primarily retired she works a few days a month for Wellstar Health System as an Infection Prevention Practitioner. She also volunteers at the church and other facilities including the Strand Theater and the Georgia Aquarium. She is married and is the mother of 2 adult children. Her primary hobby is playing with her grandchildren, photography and travel. She has participated in many areas at the church including being a Conscious Consistent giver, Ushering, Staffing the book store, Aide at Camp Northstar, House Manager for several Drepung Loseling Monk events as well as a member of the Card Care Team.

Christy Terry

Christy has attended Unity North for 11 years and has been a member since 2001. She has a Masters degree in Education from University of West Georgia and has spent the last 13 years in management.  Currently she works for a company in child care where she trains directors and audits financials.  She has been visible in the church as a choir member for 10 years, served as a member of the Kidsmas and Music Festival planning committees, participated with the Habitat team and was a volunteer in the music department.

Gregg Raduka, Ph.D., LPC

Gregg has been attending Unity North off and on since shopping center days and regularly since 2005.  His doctorate is in Human Development and his dissertation involved stages of faith development.  He is a certified prevention specialist and a licensed professional counselor. His main work for the last 26 years has involved designing, administering substance abuse prevention programming and grant-writing for a non-profit. Gregg is a member of the Spiritual Connections Ministry, the Men of Unity, and participates in the Conscious Consistent Giving Program. He is a facilitator of a Spiritual Life Group and is a strong believer in the Interfaith movement. He and his wife Debbie have two wonderful college-age children.

Frank Birdsong

Frank has been an active member of Unity North Atlanta since 1995. During the past 18 years, Frank has served on the Board of Trustees twice and has participated on many committees, church functions, and other activities including the current By-Laws Committee.

Frank has been a registered architect in several southeastern states for over 40 years. He is honored and privileged to have served as the architect for the current facilities that house Unity North Atlanta Church. In addition, Frank designed and helped to implement the construction of several large projects at the church.

Currently, Frank is active with the Unity North Choir, the Godspell production soon to be performed at UNAC, the Sound Committee, and the By-Laws/Policies and Procedures Committee for the church. Those activities, along with his continuing architectural practice and pursuit of his other interests, provide Frank with a very active and creative life and he continues to seek ways to be of service to his church and his fellow citizens.

Yvonne Shales

Yvonne has been a member of Unity North Atlanta since June, 2000. She is a long time member of the UNA Choir and Music Ministry and has also served on the Kidmas Leadership team and numerous Community Outreach Programs. Yvonne has 25 years of business to business sales, customer service and management experience in the fields of commercial printing and residential real estate, with particular expertise in contract negotiations and conflict resolution. She transitioned to healthcare sales in 2007 and has spent the last 6 years working as a pharmaceutical sales representative promoting products for Pfizer and other major pharmaceutical companies. Yvonne and her husband Andrew have two daughters and currently reside in Woodstock,GA.
