On Wednesday evening, May 16th our 7:30 pm service will be an opportunity for you to have any spiritual questions that are on your heart discussed by a panel of Unity North leaders and you!  Join Rev. Richard, Rev. Jeanie Ward, Dr. Vern Morgan, Coco Dolenz and Brian Perry for an evening of spiritual exploration.

We will randomly draw your questions from a hat and facilitate a spontaneous dialogue about the “spiritual stuff” that you want to talk about.  The more thought provoking the questions, the more powerful the dialogue will be!  This should be a fun and inspiring night! We hope to see you there.

Space is being held until May 15 for Unity North members who wish to showcase their artwork or specialty crafts at the upcoming Fun Fest. After this date it will be “First come, first choice!” We are looking for original and high end items to include in this community-wide event.

The Youth of Unity is throwing a sock hop to raise money for rally!  Invite your friends to a night of 50′s music and fun.  With a costume contest and a dance off, it’s going to be awesome!

An Immersion in Sound with 5 Paiste Gongs played by Faye Henry

7:30 pm – 8:30 pm in the Sanctuary

Come and be bathed in the sound and vibration of 5 Paiste gongs for relaxation, meditation, healing, and fun!  The gong sound is organic, deep and nurturing.  The “living tones” build upon each other and evolve on their own, producing a sea of sound that is both timeless and alive.

Faye plays the gongs to guide us into discovering that we not only hear the sound through our ears but through our bodies.  The sounds of the gongs affect us at the deepest cellular levels, re-patterning us to our original blueprint.  Within this experience, tensions are released, energy blockages may be cleared, and the mind is most often able to stop its chattering.

We recommend you bring yoga mats, blankets, and pillows so that you can lie comfortably and stay warm for an hour.  Seats will be available if preferred.

Every third Thursday the animal ministry will be having a pet loss support group for those whose pets have transitioned.  We will meet in the admin building, first floor—turn right and go down the hall.  We would like to give support to all, by sharing thoughts, stories, pictures and memories.

The first meeting will be May 17 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Rickie Byars Beckwith

Rickie Byars Beckwith is a singer-songwriter, whose transcendent music opens the heart, touches the soul, and uplifts the spirit. Rickie is the Music and Arts Director of the Agape International Spiritual Center where she directs the 200-member Agape International Choir. She has performed for His Holiness the Dalai Lama, at Green Festivals across North America, and at countless Peace Concerts that promote unity and the principles of non-violence.
